The Phosphor Bronze Custom Snares are the ultimate snare and the embodiment of SAKAE’s sound delivering overwhelming presence with driving volume, sound pressure, and wide dynamic range, These incredibly responsive and dynamic snares can adapt to any style and genre. Easily transitioning between the loudest rim shots and the softest of ghost notes. To better cater to a wide range of players, the Phosphor Bronze Snares are available in two sizes. A 14″ x 6.5″ (approximately 35.6 X 16.5cm) for players who prefer a bigger sound with more presence, and a more accessible 14″ x 5.5″ (approximately 35.6 x 14 cm) model. These Japan-made Custom Snares go well with any music genre and are ideal for recording. SHELL The shell is made of 3 mm thick high quality phosphor bronze, with a reinforcement ring. SNARE WIRES The 36-strand snare wires are made of Ultra High-Carbon which are harder than typical High-Carbon wires. This formula produces a quicker, sharper more power response. HOOPS The Japan Custom Snare comes with SAKAE’s popular Righty Halo; The top edge of the hoop faces outwards for an open sound with enhanced harmonics. The SD1455 WNJ is available in 14″x6.5″ and 14″x5.5″, complete with a Sakae branded soft case.
