Overview

The Focusrite ISA ADN2 is an optional two-channel A-D conversion card designed specifically for the Focusrite ISA One microphone preamp and DI. High-Quality Two-Channel A-D Conversion

ISA ADN2 converts the two analogue channels from the ISA One into high-quality digital audio, allowing the character and performance of the ISA preamp and DI to be carried directly into a digital recording or production environment.

The converter supports sample rates from 44.1kHz through 192kHz at 24-bit resolution, providing the flexibility required for professional recording, mixing, post-production, and high-resolution audio workflows.

Dante Audio Networking

The addition of Dante connectivity allows ISA One to become part of a professional Dante audio network. Two RJ45 network ports provide primary and secondary Dante connections, with redundancy and automatic switchover designed to maintain network audio connectivity in the event of a connection failure.

Once connected to a Dante network, ISA One can send its two digital channels to compatible Focusrite RedNet devices, Red interfaces, and other Dante-enabled equipment from a wide range of manufacturers.

Flexible Digital Outputs

ISA ADN2 provides multiple digital output formats for integration with different studio systems. A two-channel AES3 output is available through XLR, while ADAT is provided through TOSLINK and S/PDIF through RCA. This makes the card suitable for connecting ISA One to compatible interfaces, digital consoles, recorders, and other digital equipment.

Professional Clock Synchronization

Word Clock input and output are provided on BNC connectors for synchronization with external digital systems. The card can use its internal clock or an external Word Clock source, helping ISA One integrate cleanly into larger studio and broadcast clocking environments.

Software Control and Dante Routing

RedNet Control provides access to metering and card settings from a computer, while Dante Controller is used to configure audio routing across the Dante network. This eliminates the need for physical patching when routing ISA One's digital channels within a compatible network.

Designed for ISA One

ISA ADN2 is an internal expansion card specifically designed for the Focusrite ISA One. It adds digital conversion and networking capabilities while allowing ISA One to retain its role as a professional analogue microphone preamp and independent DI solution.

Important: ISA ADN2 is designed for ISA One. It is not compatible with ISA 828 MkII or ISA 428 MkII, which use the separate ISA ADN8 expansion card.
