The Focusrite RedNet R1 is a professional desktop remote controller designed to provide hands-on control of Focusrite Red audio interfaces and Dante-based monitoring systems. RedNet R1 places essential monitoring controls directly at the engineer's fingertips. Dedicated controls provide level adjustment, reference level selection, cut, dim, mute, solo, and source management, allowing complex monitoring systems to be operated quickly without relying solely on computer software.

Flexible Source Selection and Routing

RedNet R1 can access up to 32 available audio channels arranged across as many as eight source groups. Sources can include analogue inputs and outputs, ADAT, S/PDIF, Pro Tools | HD and other DAW connections, Red interfaces, and Dante audio networks.

Multiple sources can be switched, summed, or managed from the front panel, making it practical to compare mixes, monitor individual channels, or move between different production sources during recording, mixing, and post-production.

Immersive and Surround Monitoring

RedNet R1 supports monitoring configurations ranging from mono and stereo to multichannel immersive formats up to 7.1.4. This makes it suitable for Dolby Atmos and other immersive workflows where engineers need fast access to multiple speaker layouts and monitoring configurations.

Monitor Presets and Fold-Downs

An A/B control provides rapid switching between monitoring presets, while up to four fold-down presets allow engineers to check mixes in alternative formats. This makes it easier to verify how an immersive or surround mix translates to different speaker configurations without interrupting the main workflow.

Talkback and Headphone Monitoring

RedNet R1 includes a Dante-enabled talkback system with a built-in microphone and a rear-panel XLR input for connecting an external microphone. When paired with a compatible Red interface, up to four talkback destination groups can be configured. When used with other Dante devices, a single talkback destination group is available.

The high-powered headphone output provides a dedicated monitoring path for checking sources and communicating with performers. It supports headphones from 32Ω through 600Ω, making it suitable for a wide range of professional headphones.

Precision Metering

Two colour LCD displays provide clear visual feedback for source, output, and headphone levels while also guiding users through the controller's menus. This gives engineers detailed monitoring information without requiring constant attention to a computer screen.

RedNet Control
