16-Channel Dante Analogue I/O

RedNet A16R MkII provides 16 channels of analogue input and 16 channels of analogue output over a Dante network. Four AES59-standard DB25 connectors provide reliable multichannel connections for studio equipment, consoles, outboard processors, monitor systems, and other professional analogue devices.

High-Quality A-D and D-A Conversion

The interface uses precision conversion with up to 120dB converter dynamic range and a typical 119dB A-weighted signal-to-noise ratio on the analogue inputs. Frequency response remains flat across the 20Hz–20kHz audio range, providing accurate signal transfer for professional recording, mixing, broadcast, and live applications.

Independent Channel Level Control

Each analogue input and output has independent level adjustment, allowing engineers and system technicians to calibrate individual channels directly through RedNet Control. Level control ranges from mute through -78dB to 0dB in precise 1dB steps, making it easy to match equipment and optimise signal levels throughout a Dante system.

AES3 and DARS Connectivity

In addition to its 16 analogue channels, RedNet A16R MkII provides a two-channel AES3 input and output through XLR connections. The AES3 input can also accept DARS signals, while built-in sample rate conversion allows connected digital equipment to operate at different sample rates without requiring the entire network to run at the same rate.

Flexible Clocking

Word Clock input and output provide straightforward integration with professional studio clocking systems. RedNet A16R MkII can synchronise from an external Word Clock or DARS source, while Dante network clocking can be used when the unit operates as part of a networked audio system.

Redundant Power and Network Connections

For applications where continuous operation is critical, RedNet A16R MkII features two independent internal power supplies and separate Primary and Secondary Dante network connections. If a power or network path fails, the system can automatically switch to the backup connection, helping maintain uninterrupted audio operation.

Switched or Redundant Dante Networking

The dual etherCON network ports can be configured for redundant Dante networking or switched operation. Redundant mode allows the interface to connect to two independent networks, while switched mode uses the integrated network switch to simplify system wiring and support daisy-chaining of compatible Dante devices.

Professional Networked Audio Compatibility
