Red Evolution Microphone Preamps

RedNet X2P features two Focusrite Red Evolution microphone preamps, providing clean, detailed amplification with up to 68dB of digitally controlled gain. Each input accepts microphone, line, or instrument signals through its combination XLR/TRS connector, making the interface suitable for vocals, acoustic instruments, electric guitars, keyboards, and other sources.

The two preamps can be linked for stereo operation, while individual phantom power, high-pass filtering, phase inversion, and gain control provide flexible input management for different recording and performance setups.

Air Mode

Air mode adds the characteristic tonal response associated with Focusrite's classic transformer-based microphone preamps. It introduces a high-frequency lift while changing the input impedance, providing additional presence and openness for vocals, acoustic instruments, and other sources where extra clarity can be useful.

High-Quality Conversion

Professional Headphone and Line Outputs

RedNet X2P provides two balanced XLR line outputs for powered monitors, amplifiers, or other professional equipment, together with a front-panel 1/4-inch stereo headphone output. Separate controls allow independent adjustment of headphone and line output levels, while the headphone amplifier is capable of driving both low- and high-impedance headphones.

Power over Ethernet

With Power over Ethernet, a single Ethernet cable can carry power, Dante audio, clock information, and remote control to the RedNet X2P. The interface supports IEEE 802.3af Class 0 PoE and can alternatively operate from the included 12V DC locking power supply when PoE is unavailable.

Flexible Dante Networking

Two locking etherCON network connectors provide Dante connectivity and allow an additional compatible network device to be connected through the second port. RedNet X2P can therefore be positioned close to performers, instruments, or monitoring locations without requiring a conventional multi-cable analogue connection back to the main system.

Remote Control Lockout

RedNet X2P includes flexible control-lock options that can prevent local adjustment of microphone preamp settings, output settings, or both. This is particularly useful when the interface is placed in an artist's or remote recording position, allowing users to control their monitoring without accidentally changing critical preamp settings.

Compact and Mountable Design

The rugged aluminium enclosure is designed for portable and permanent professional use.
