Unmatched Touch and Precision: Millennium III Action
At the core of the Kawai GX-6 is the proprietary Millennium III Upright/Grand Action, celebrated worldwide for incorporating components made of ABS-Carbon—a revolutionary composite material formed by infusing carbon fiber into Kawai's traditional Styran. This advanced engineering makes the action remarkably rigid, durable, and lightweight. The result is lightning-fast key repetition speed, exquisite touch sensitivity, and profound dynamic control, empowering performers to transition effortlessly from delicate whisper-soft passages to thunderous, resonant crescendos.
The playing experience is further elevated by the premium NEOTEX key surface. Fabricated from natural cellulose fiber materials, NEOTEX mimics the luxurious, organic feel of genuine ivory and ebony while absorbing moisture from the hands to prevent slipping during intense, extended practice or concert performances.
Exceptional Tone and Acoustic Architecture
Every element of the GX-6's acoustic design is meticulously crafted to produce extraordinary depth, clarity, and resonance:
- Tapered Spruce Soundboard: Built from premium-grade, carefully selected spruce with a generous surface area, strategically tapered to optimize vibration efficiency and broad tonal projection.
- Mahogany Hammer Cores: Fitted with underfelted hammers featuring premium mahogany cores, producing a warm, full-bodied tone with brilliant clarity and a remarkable dynamic range.
- Duplex Scale & Agraffes: Incorporates duplex scaling for the upper treble register to enrich harmonic overtones, paired with individual agraffes across the lower and middle keys to guarantee precise string spacing, immaculate vibration, and long-term tuning stability.
- Sturdy Multi-Beam Frame: Supported by four heavy-duty back beams to ensure maximum structural rigidity and enduring pitch stability under intense string tension.
Elegant Design and Professional Features
Finished in a flawless, mirror-like Polished Ebony, the Kawai GX-6 serves as a breathtaking visual and acoustic focal point for any recital hall, professional studio, or luxury home. Thoughtfully designed with performer-centric features, it includes:
- Adjustable Hardfinish Music Rack: Provides a durable, multi-position platform to securely hold heavy sheet music and complex orchestral scores.
