Grand Piano Performance: Millennium III Action with NEOTEX™ Surfaces
At the mechanical core of the K-700 is Kawai's acclaimed Millennium III Upright Action utilizing ABS-Carbon composite components. Exceptionally rigid and lightweight, it enables rapid key repetition and powerful dynamic transfer while maintaining superior stability against UAE climate shifts. The action is complemented by:
- NEOTEX™ Key Surfaces: Exclusive cellulose fiber white and black keytops absorb hand moisture to prevent slipping during long practice and performance sessions.
- Extended Key Lengths: Designed with longer keys to ensure an even, balanced touch weight from the front to the back of the keyboard.
Fore & Back Duplex Scaling & Solid Spruce Soundboard
The K-700 delivers rich, multi-dimensional acoustic projection that rivals smaller grand pianos:
- Fore and Back Duplex Scaling: Adds complex harmonic brilliance and singing sustain to the upper treble register.
- Tapered Solid Spruce Soundboard: Precision-crafted from acoustic-grade solid spruce to maximize vibrational efficiency and dynamic warmth.
- Extended Bass Projection: Features a 1,230 mm speaking length on the no. 1 bass string for deep, resonant low-end power.
Professional Cabinetry, Grand-Style Music Rack & Security
Crafted to meet the demanding standards of professional studios and performance spaces:
- Grand Piano-Style Music Rack: Features a traditional fold-down music desk positioned at player eye-level, just like a grand piano.
- Robust Structural Support: Built with 5 heavy-duty back posts, a steel-reinforced keyslip and keybed, and two cutoff bars for ultimate tuning stability.
- Hardware & Security: Equipped with a "Soft-Fall" slow-closing fallboard, integrated key lock, double brass casters, and three traditional pedals (Soft, Muffler/Practice, Damper).
