Graded Hammer Compact Keyboard

The Yamaha P-145 features an 88-key Graded Hammer Compact keyboard that provides a weighted playing response designed to replicate the feel of an acoustic piano. The keys are heavier in the lower register and lighter in the higher register, helping players develop proper finger strength, technique, and dynamic control.

Four selectable touch sensitivity settings allow you to adjust how the keyboard responds to your playing style. Choose Hard, Medium, Soft, or Fixed depending on your preferred touch and performance requirements.

Expressive Yamaha Piano Sound

The P-145 uses Yamaha's CFIIIS piano sound to deliver a clear and expressive tonal character suitable for classical music, pop, worship, contemporary music, and everyday practice. Damper resonance enhances the piano experience by adding natural tonal depth when notes are sustained.

The digital piano also includes a selection of essential instrument voices, allowing you to explore electric piano, organ, harpsichord, strings, and other sounds in addition to the main piano tone.

Simple and Accessible Controls

The Yamaha P-145 uses a straightforward button-style interface rather than a complicated display system. This makes essential functions easy to access, whether you are a beginner learning the instrument or an experienced pianist looking for a focused practice setup.

The simplified control layout allows you to select sounds, adjust settings, use the metronome, and access performance functions without unnecessary distractions.

Practice and Performance Functions

The P-145 includes Dual and Duo modes for flexible playing and learning. Dual mode allows two instrument voices to be layered together, while Duo mode divides the keyboard into two areas with the same pitch range, making it useful for lessons, demonstrations, and practicing alongside a teacher.

A built-in metronome helps improve timing and rhythm, while adjustable tempo, transpose, and tuning functions provide additional flexibility for practice and performance.

USB Audio and MIDI Connectivity

With USB TO HOST connectivity, the Yamaha P-145 can connect to a compatible computer or smart device for MIDI and audio applications. This makes it suitable for music production, digital recording, educational applications, and working with compatible music apps.

The USB audio interface supports 44.1 kHz, 16-bit stereo audio. A headphone connection is also available for quiet practice and detailed listening without disturbing others.

Compact Design and Built-In Speakers

The Yamaha P-145 has a slim, portable body that makes it easy to place on a desk, keyboard stand, or other suitable surface. Its compact design is ideal for homes, apartments, classrooms, studios, and musicians who need a digital piano that can be transported between locations.

The built-in stereo speaker system uses two 7 W amplifiers and oval speakers to produce clear sound for practice and casual performance. For a more permanent setup, the optional Yamaha L-100 stand and LP-5A three-pedal unit can be purchased separately.
