dBTechnologies DVX P15 2-Way Passive Speaker

The dB Technologies DVX P15 is a powerful 15” / 1.4” 2-way passive loudspeaker whose birch plywood cabinet has been specifically designed to render speech contents, background music, and any other kind of audio in medium- to large-sized rooms. It is also the ideal choice when used as a full-range FOH (Front-of-House) speaker or a powerful drum monitor, combining high-end passive loudspeaker performance with lightweight and sturdy construction.

Acoustic Design & Component Overview

Equipped with a high-quality 15-inch woofer (featuring a 3-inch voice coil) and a 1.4-inch neodymium compression driver (featuring a 2.5-inch voice coil and titanium dome) mounted on a 90°x40° rotatable CD horn, the DVX P15 assures maximum speech intelligibility and delivers a punchy, assertive bass response without requiring an added subwoofer. The rotatable constant-directivity horn allows users to maintain the exact same high-frequency coverage angle even when the speaker is deployed horizontally or used as a stage monitor.

The internal crossover features precision filters with an 18 dB/octave slope for the high-pass section and a 12 dB/octave slope for the low-pass section. Additionally, a self-resetting thermal protection circuit is integrated on the high-frequency driver to protect against prolonged overloading during high-output sessions.

Mechanical Build & Rigging Versatility

The robust cabinet is constructed from durable black birch plywood and features a slanted back panel with two dual angles (40° and 25°) for flexible stage monitoring applications. Transport and installation are made effortless via two integrated side handles, 12 x M10 threaded rigging points, 4 fly-pins for wall-mount brackets, and a standard aluminum pole mount cup (Ø36mm).
